Michael has nearly 25 years experience in the energy sector with a broad range of experience working across consulting, operations and policy.
Michael worked for Hydro Tasmania for 16 years where he consulted overseas on hydro project development and then worked as Production Manager where he was responsible for strategic and day to day operations of the hydro system. Michael then worked in consulting providing electricity market pricing forecasts and policy advice to numerous public and private sector clients.
Prior to joining UPC, he worked in the Tasmanian Minister for Energy Office helping to shape and deliver energy policy. In these roles Michael was also involved with the development of the current Tasmanian government climate change action plan.
Michael is passionate about renewable energy and driving toward a net zero emissions economy for the benefit of the current and future generations.
